According to a recent study in the Journal of National Cancer Institute, researchers found that drinking a cup of coffee every morning could help to protect your skin from melanoma, and the more cups of coffee that a person drank the less likely they were to get it. Non-coffee drinkers were 20% more likely to get melanoma than coffee drinkers.

According to nutritionist Keri Glassman, RD watermelons contains a large amount of the antioxidant lycopene which goes a long way to help our skin fight off UV damage. The compound is what gives watermelons and tomatoes the red color, and is the natural equivalent of an SPF3.

Pomegranates contain high levels of vitamin c which is great for naturally combating skin dryness, fine lines, and wrinkles. Pomegranates also contain ellagic acid, which can help reduce inflammation as well as a collagen producing agent called anthocyanins. Collagen is what gives your skin a firmer elasticity.

Blueberries are loaded with both vitamin C and E, and can do wonders to tone and brighten up your skin. Don’t let their size fool you because those little berries even contain a natural hydroquinone, which helps to lighten the skin.
