Teri Copley is an American actress and model. She is best known for role on the television series We Got it Made. Throughout her entire life, she felt as if she were missing something. She tried to convince herself that she needed to grow up and understand how the world actually works. In her confusions, she was led down the wrong path. She posed nude and was the cover girl for Playboy for the November 1990 issue. After the cover was released she realized she was still empty inside. She was not fulfilled and knew it was because she was missing God. In the 1990s, Copley became a born-again Christian and eased her way out of celebrity Hollywood.

Teri is so dedicated to God that she refused to act in anything that does not glorify Him. She went as far as rejecting what once was her dream role of playing Marilyn Monroe. Today she continues to use her talents but in a way that glorifies God!

The Godfruits takeaway: As Christians we have a duty to glorify God. What good is it to say that we are Christians when we continue the old habits, lies, or actions? We must and I mean MUST glorify God. Although it was difficult for Teri Copley to reject  acting opportunities with great financial benefits she knew that it wouldn’t be enough to fill what God does in her life. Once you allow God to show you the truth nothing worth more than having Him.

Remember this verse from 2 Corinthians 12:9, Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.
