Left alone in a back alley in Anfield Liverpool, lays a old black rolling trolly bag. What was left inside that lone black tolly bag is something you would never expect to find, a small Yorkshire terrier named Charlie.
Charlie the dog was literally left there to die, alone with two broken legs, several bruises and cuts, along with many other trama related injuries suggesting he was brutally beaten. That black trolly bag could have become a body-bag for Charlie had he not been found by passers-by when he was. Animal Welfare Officer David Hatton said: “This poor little Yorkie was abandoned on the first day of the New Year, and was dumped in a black trolley bag in the alleyway off Breckside Park.”
“He was very badly injured and in need of veterinary care when we rescued him. It is unthinkable that someone would do this. He was badly hurt and just left there. He is such a sweet boy too, really friendly.” Whoever can do something like this deserves to be punished, and RSPCA agents are seeking the culprits of the crime as well as Charlies owners.
The Officers are appealing to anyone who might have information about where Charlie came from, or who his owners might be. They ask that you contact the RSPCA’s inspector appeal line at 0300 123 8018 and leave a message for Inspector Claire Fisher.
