We Are All The Same In God’s Eyes
“He will rescue the poor who cry for help . . . He will have pity on the lowly and the poor, and the lives of the poor he will save.”—Psalm 72:12, 13.
Even with the best efforts of world health organizations, there are still millions of people in the world living in poverty.
In today’s world, we are told that happiness can only be achieved through material prosperity. The world has found a way to fool us into believing that everything that should be important revolves around money. The thing is, those with little or no access to basic education, quality health care, and other benefits, those trapped in poverty are not expected to have a happy and satisfying life.
The Bible Teaches…
The Bible teaches that real happiness depends, on one’s spiritual well-being and relationship with God. Everything else like money and cars come after you putting God first.
“Happy are those conscious of their spiritual need.” (Matthew 5:3)
The people who really are aware of their spiritual needs are always seeking God’s wisdom. This is what brings TRUE happiness.
People are quick to judge you based on what kind of job you do.
Some people say that if the pay is good, then the work is good. When you put in this type of thinking together with a lure of easy money, it leads to dishonest businesses and practices – some of which are illegal.
Always keep in mind what God says about the issue:
Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. – Romans 13:10
Working serves a noble purpose. For those in poverty, only God will be able to erase that from our world.
