Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert’s Marriage Is Ending In A Divorce!
In 2011, Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert tied the knot. Before that these country music superstars dated for about 6 years before marrying. They created several platinum albums during their golden years and everything seemed to be perfect for them. However, after spending a whole decade together, it is sad to see that they are calling it quits and getting a divorce.
“This is not the future we envisioned. And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately,” the couple said in statement to The Associated Press. “We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter.”
What do you think? Has this become a trend?
You may have heard that “50% of marriages end in divorce”, however, this isn’t entirely true- but its close to being a fact. According to Avvo.com:
- 20% end within 5 years.
- 32% end within 10 years.
- 40% end within 15 years.
- 48% end within 20 years.
It is obvious that family values have taken a dive since the year 2000. Marriage isn’t what it used to be. You as a Christian must hold fast to the advice God has given us. For example, the Bible encourages both to be forgiving. Indeed, the Bible says that “it is beauty . . . to pass over transgression.”
Remember that when you and your spouse are committed, saving your marriage becomes a team project, and not just a solo mission.—Ecclesiastes 4:9, 10.
Two are better than one because they have a good reward for their hard work. For if one of them falls, the other can help his partner up. But what will happen to the one who falls with no one to help him up?
