Body Cam Captures Duluth Police Officer Pulling A “Jumper” Back To Safety

A Duluth police officer rescues a man who was contemplating jumping off the top of a downtown parking ramp.
The video was recorded on September 19th. It shows officer Joe DeJesus pulling a 32-year-old man to safety from a potential jump off the ledge of the Holiday Center ramp along Third Avenue West.

Duluth Police Chief Gordon Ramsay was the one who shared the video on Facebook.

“This is an example of the life-saving work our officers do every day, the male was taken in for help and was uninjured thanks to the excellent work by Officer DeJesus.”– Chief Ramsay

Officer Joe DeJesus miraculously saved the man by offering him “a smoke” and quickly pulled the man to safety. The officers act is something of great courage.

Watch Officer Joe DeJesus save a male in crisis who was threatening to jump off a downtown parking ramp. This is an example of the life saving work our officers do every day. The male was taken in for help and was uninjured thanks to the excellent work by Officer DeJesus. This incident occurred last week.
