Planting A New Life
New eco-friendly burial pods can turn deceased loved ones into a blossoming garden of blooming trees. Well, if that doesn’t sound conservationist and earth considerate enough, just imagine if everyone did it. Suddenly our gloomy tombstone scattered graveyards could turn into family forested memorial parks.
The concept is being developed by an Italian company called Capsula Mundi, as an interesting alternative to coffins and cremations.
According to the video, a human body is placed into the burial pod in the fetal position and then enclosed into a biodegradable burial capsule. The capsule is then planted into soil and some 20 years later the deceased is now a big pine tree, weeping willow, or some other tree; in which the deceased wanted to become.
What do you think of this idea?
