She Invited Her Donor That Saved Her Life To Her Wedding – What Happened Next Would Have Never Been Expected!
Greta Hokanson was diagnosed with leukemia at the age of 16. She was in desperate need of a bone marrow transplant in order to save her life. Through a system known as the Be The Match bone marrow registry, she was introduced to a compatible donor. The stranger, Danny Daniels, was to save her life did it out of the goodness of his heart.
Years later in life, as Greta was planning her wedding, she knew it would be wrong of her if she would not have the man who saved her life at the wedding. She was thrilled when she received his RSVP!
“Before I met him, he was this amazing man who gave his bone marrow to me without knowing anything about me. It was incredible seeing him standing right there in front of me.” – Greta
The two danced during the reception and there was not a dry eye in the building!

The wedding was also the first time that the groom, Tony, met the man who saved his new wife’s life, indeed he was very grateful.
“It was really an honor to meet him. He’s such a generous man and it was great to get a chance to talk with him and get to know him better. Without him and the Be The Match foundation, there’s a really good chance I wouldn’t have Greta as my wife today.” – Tony
