Typically when we think of the Republican party, we think Christianity. Although Christians can be found in every political party in our nation, more Christians are more than likely to be Republicans because the Republican Party has (for the most part) been more pro-life.
First off, we must acknowledge our one and only God as the Supreme Ruler of Earth.
“He changes times and seasons; he removes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding” (Dan 2:21)
Throughout history, many have tried (and failed) to exalt themselves above His name.
“He brings one down, he exalts another” (Prov 75:7).
Whichever political party is in charge here over the nation of the USA, it means something next to nothing for our God.
The question still stands, what should you choose to identify yourself as? To answer this question, we must first look at what God’s stance would be on the issue.
God’s Stance On The Issue
We’re not here to tell you what to choose to be, but rather, give you an insight on what you should base your decision on. To say you stand neutral would be the same as saying you won’t make decisions based on what God stands for, and God stands for all that is true and fair.
Perhaps the deal breaker would be something that is most important to God. Pro-Life is an issue that is talked about and debated over the course of campaigns. The issue is of maximum importance because our God is the Author of life:
You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. We are witnesses of this. – Acts 3:15
The next time you try to label yourself, or vote for a candidate ask yourself these questions:
We need to vote our conscience. What values does the candidate have? Does she or he support abortion or are they pro-life?
It is important to not dive in too much in political issues, for we have already have a king!
He will bring about at the proper time–He who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords, – 1 Timothy 6:15
