5 Officers Dead, 7 Injured During Peaceful Protest In Dallas
What started out as a peaceful protest inspired by the killings of 3 black men earlier this week turned into a major panic zone as 3 snipers gunned down 12 officers.
As of now, 5 officers have been confirmed dead and 7 officers are fatally injured and 2 civilians are also injured. One shooter, Micah Xavier Johnson, has been killed by police. Little is known about the shooter, other than he was an ex-army reservist. Police said he told hostage negotiators that he was angry about recent fatal shootings of black men by police elsewhere in the United States. He was enraged and wanted to “kill white people.”
