“I Will Never Give Up Looking For My Son”
There is no other way to describe this story other than truly heartbreaking. Chen Shengkuan has had to live his life with a mobility-related disability. He has been frantically moving from city to city on his hands and feet in search of his missing son, Chen Zhaoyuan. Zhaoyuan went missing 15 months ago from their home at the Wenzhang Xi village in Chengyue, China. His father says he was abducted while playing with his cousins.
Chen has been living with his polio, his walking disability since he was a child.
According to Chinese media, Chen’s search has already covered his province and is now searching in Zhangjiang, a larger city with a population of 6.9 million people. Armed with a poster with pictures of his son, Chen is determined to find his beloved son.
“No matter how hard or how much I have to suffer, I will never give up looking for my son.”
Child abduction cases in China are widely related to desperate attempts to find a male that can carry on their family name.
