The City Of Flint, Michigan, Is In A Panic! They Need Our Prayers
U.S. President Barack Obama has declared a state of emergency for Michigan. Federal aid and state response efforts are doing whatever they can to deal with the city of Flint’s lead-contaminated drinking water. Michigan City, Flint, resides under the Genesee County water supplies.
When Flint was under financial struggle, a state-appointed emergency manager stepped in to take control. They switched the source of tap water from Detroit’s system, to the nearby Flint River back in April of 2014 in order to cut costs.
In October of 2015, the city of Flint returned to using the Detroit water sources, as they had found that the cheaper water was found with elevated levels of lead.
Obama has authorized the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to help relieve the disaster that has left many Michigan residents without a source of water.
Let us pray for our brothers and sisters residing in Michigan, that they soon have this issue resolved. We hope that they quench their thirst, not only with the literal type of water, but also quench their thirst with spiritual water. AMEN!
