Maybe you have asked yourself this question over and over, or maybe this question has not crossed your mind yet. You’re not alone, many have been asking themselves the same question. Is there more to life than just partying, playing, working, getting married, raising a family, retirement? The bible actually brings up this question in Ecclesiastes 2:11: “But when I reflected on all the works that my own hands had done and on all the hard work that I had toiled to accomplish, I saw that everything was futile, a chasing after the wind; there was nothing of real value under the sun.”

No need to look any further! The bible fully explains God’s original plan for mankind.

In the beginning, God had issued the first human couple an amazing goal. Adam and Eve’s purpose was to fill this beautiful planet and make it an everlasting paradise.  Genesis 1:28, 31: “Further, God blessed them, and God said to them: “Be fruitful and become many, fill the earth and subdue it, and have in subjection the fish of the sea and the flying creatures of the heavens and every living creature that is moving on the earth.”

Unfortunately, God’s ultimate purpose was set back when humans let themselves be guided by God’s enemy. This minor set back will not stop His purpose. God assures us that he will save his faithful followers and that his original purpose will be fulfilled!  Psalm 37:29: “The righteous will possess the earth,
And they will live forever on it.”
