Do you realize that you give up a lot of yourself, for things that may not be as important as your salvation?
1 John 2:15-17 (KJV)
15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
Matthew 6:33 (KJV)
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
In the latter verse, God is talking about our needs. He shares with us that if He supplies the needs of the grass of the fields, how much more will He provide for us? He asks us to not concern ourselves with our tomorrows, for they will surely take care of themselves.
God should be our priority in life. If He is, all things will naturally fall into place! Jesus is truly worthy of our servitude. If we wholly give ourselves to Him, we will get much more in return, than what we put in. We can’t even fathom what He has in store for us!
