Don’t Make Room For Gossip In Your Life
Psalm 34:13 – “Keep your tongue from evil And your lips from speaking deceit.”
Evil can be found all around us. Although we are God’s people, that doesn’t mean we uphold the morals and values that we were taught from infancy. In it’s most extreme versions, gossip can ruin lives. It can make someone feel so belittled and worthless, it is clearly something us Christians must refrain from doing.
In a sense, sharing misinformation starts to wear away your sense of friendship and love for one another. The emotional type of Christians are often the gullible ones. Followers of Christ often work themselves into frustration upon believing the latest news portrayed by the media.
As a Christian and as a representative of God, you must double check if a story is true and correct. Nothing looks more of a heretic and religious zealot than spewing out misinformation that may not even be true.
This is truly an uncomfortable time for Christians. The very foundations of God are being put into question. The bible urges us to pursue a life full of integrity and honesty (Proverbs 28:18).
