Nothing Better Than A Good Ol’ Steak For Dinner
Chef Mike Ward tells us how to cook a perfect steak. First, you will want to let your meat reach room temperature; so it will cook evenly. If you are going to be cooking in two stages (grilling on the stove, then oven) start with a hot pan.
-Pre-heat your oven to 450.
-When seasoning your meat, be very generous with salt and pepper.
-Sear the steak for 90 seconds each side and never squeeze your steak.
-Place in the oven for 5 minutes. (This is to reach a medium state with a 1-inch steak)
-Take your steak out and let rest for 5 min to set. (Don’t worry, it won’t get cold)
-Cut pieces into 3rd of an inch. Serve with mustard or your favorite sauce and enjoy! 🙂
