Marine With PTSD Is Reunited With The Military Dog That Saved His Life
In 2011,Lance Cpl. David Pond and his military working dog, Pablo, survived 7 long agonizing months in Afghanistan. As a team, they survived countless battles and firefights.
“He was my rock, my foundation. He saved my life more than once.” – Pond
Although their bond seemed unbreakable, they were split when Pond’s service ended in 2011. He went back to his home in Colorado and the dog was continued to be used in stateside assignments.
Back in the US, Pond faced his internal battle against post-traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injury. The only real way to help him cope with the trauma was to bring Pablo home. The reunion of these two prove that there is no better friend than a humble dog!
