Baby Boy Is A Real Life “Pinocchio” – Mother Stood Up To Her Baby’s Bullies
Amy Poole, 22, couldnt not contain her joy when she found out that she was pregnant with her second baby in 2013. The proud momma gave birth to baby Ollie in February 2014. All was not perfect, however, Ollie was born with a golf ball-sized lump on his nose. The doctors confirmed that this lump was the production of a condition known as encephalocele, which is a rare condition in which the brain starts to grow through a hole in the skull.
Despite multiple operations, Ollie would never hesitate to keep up a smile. “After the operation, Ollie had a huge zig-zag scar across his head. He must have been in so much pain, but he just kept laughing. His positivity made it so much easier for me.” – Poole Tells The Mirror.
The babies cute pictures circulated the internet, and eventually caught the attention of some trolls. Amy had to put up with obscene and cruel comments from strangers that said Ollie was an “ugly” baby and that he should have never been put on this Earth.
“It’s absolutely heartbreaking. Once, a woman told me I should never have given birth to him. I nearly burst into tears.”
Amy has stood up to the mean comments and has even embraced the term “Pinocchio” for her baby.
“I think he is absolutely perfect the way he is. There is nothing wrong about being different. He is my special little Pinocchio, and I will never stop loving him.”
