Miraculous Recovery

Not too long ago, we brought you the heart-wrenching story of a 2-year-old boy, from a small village in South Nigeria. Accused of being a witch by the village, he was shunned by his family, and left to fend entirely for himself on the streets of his village. Miraculously, he was found by an aid worker, named Anja Rinnggren Loven Loven, who named the boy “Hope.” Just like in the bible, his name has become almost a prophetic foretelling of who, and what he would become. The name that Loven, gave the boy predicted for him a bright future, it called things that were not as if they were.  It predicted good things, rather than the bad situations he was given, and today he looks like he is full of it. Here is Hope, today…

The transformation of Hope is astonishing, thank the good Lord for sending someone like Anja to find this boy and feed into him, not only food but his potential. The boy went from skin and bones, almost near death from this:

The practice of children being labeled as witches is not as unusual as you might expect. Hope is one of many other children that face this prospect of being shunned by their entire family and village. Blaming all negative things that happen on them. This is thanks in part to the practice of witchcraft and witch doctors who charge a heavy price to lift curses and expell spirits for the families.

Loven is the founder of African Children’s Aid Education and Development Foundation, and is working on the ground level to help get these children out of these terrible situations.

We Thank God for sending his Angel.
