Today, a judge has ordered 2 of the swimmers, Ryan Lochte and James Feigen’s passports to be seized, until further evidence be given, by both athletes.

Lochte’s father, however, claims that his son is now on American soil, which seems to be what judicial sources believe, as well.

It was indeed confirmed by a US Olympic Committee (USOC) spokesman that police arrived at the Athletes’ Village on Wednesday, requesting to speak with the swimmers and the handing over of their passports.

However, USOC spokesman, Patrick Sandusky said, “The swim team moved out of the village after their competition ended, so we were not able to make the athletes available.”

He also indicated that for security purposes, he could not disclose their whereabouts.

The robbery claim has more questions than answers according to Rio authorities. A video surfaced after the incident occurred, where the athletes were seen joking around, with one another.

So, Judge Keyla Blanc wrote, “They arrived with their psychological and physical integrity unshaken.”

Another puzzling fact to the assertion is that police were never called to report the incident but was only investigated after reported by the media. Furthermore, they’ve been unable to track the taxi driver or to confirm any of the allegations, by the teammates.

Lochte’s lawyer, Jeff Ostrow, claims that the incident did take place and that there is no doubt about it.
