Rare Occurrence Captured In Photo!
Australian photographer Robyn Malcom struck gold when he captured the rare moment of a fur seal riding a humpback whale right off the New South Wales Coast. As you can see, this is a fully entertaining photo!
Malcolm was taking photos of a pod of whales on a feeding frenzy just south of Sydney.
However, going through her photos, she soon realized what she had come accross!
New South Wales National Parks and Wildlife whale expert Geoff Ross gives his expert opinion on this behavior. According to him, this coupling is a very rare occurrence.
The only other time was a seal trying to get away from a killer whale… the seal hopped on the back of the pectoral fins of a humpback whale,”
Upon skepticism, it was concluded that no editing was done to this amazing capture.
Another early find like this was in March when amateur photographer Martin Le-May shot an accidental photo of a weasel clinging on to the back of a woodpecker at Hornchurch Country Park in east London.
And even further back in the year, a family walked in on this hilarious scene in central Florida.
