Teacher Organizes Fundraisers To Raise $32,470 of $25k For His Disabled Student

It started with a bake sale. Ibrahim, Ibra for short, was born with athetoid cerebral palsy, a type of cerebral palsy that attacks all four limbs. He had been using the same chair all his life. when he started attending his high school in Maryland, he didn’t even have a chair. His father carried him on his back wherever he went.

His teacher, Matthew Johnson, was filled with so much inspiration at the sight of Ibra, that he decided to make a movement throughout his community.

The GoFundMe page he made for Ibra, alone, has raised over $32,000. Multiple local news stories on Ibra, resulted in a brand new powerchair for Ibra!
