Tesco Store Offers A Job To The Man Who Stole From Them
Tesco has offered a job to the very man that was caught shoplifting in a Malaysian location. The 31-year-old, who is to remain unnamed, was caught shoplifting in order to feed his three children. In total the products that he stole were worth RM27 (£4.64), but instead of reporting him to the police, the store’s general manager had something else in mind.
General manager Radzuan Ma’asan offered him a job when the man gave reason as to why he stole from them.
“I had quit my job as a contract worker after my wife fell into a coma during a birth complication last week”.
Was was walking to a relative’s house where he was staying. Having just visited his wife, the man and his 2-year-old son passed by the Tesco. The man grabbed pears, apples and a few bottles of drinks for him and his family.
For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. – Matthew 6:14,15
“The man’s situation really touched our hearts. We visited his relative’s house. It was so empty and poor.
“He was not a regular thief. When we questioned him, he immediately confessed, saying that he stole the fruits and drinks because his son was hungry.
“In my 23 years of experience in the retail line, I had never come across thieves who admitted their act so easily. Most would give all kinds of reasons. He also told us that he was unable to work as he has to look after his three children, aged two to seven.
“So, we decided not to lodge a police report as this was a genuine case of extreme poverty.”
The man was even given cash upfront to cover his expenses. His wife now has come out of her coma, but unfortunately the baby did not survive the birth.
