The testimony of Eduardo Verastegui is truly inspiring!
Romans 12:2 (KJV)
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
2 Corinthians 6:17 (KJV)
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
Ephesians 5:11 (KJV)
11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
James 4:4 (KJV)
4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
1 John 2:15-17 (KJV)
15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
I used to do volunteer work, during fundraising season, at my local Christian radio station, because I was grateful for their beautiful music and encouraging and thought provoking programs. So, many years ago, I was listening to a favorite show, and a man, whom I had never heard of, was giving his testimony. Suddenly, he mentioned a movie—”Chasing Papi”. I realized that I HAD seen the trailer on television, years before, but never watched it, because it seemed inappropriate. I asked myself if he could possibly be the handsome lead, of the film. I looked him up, and it sure was—the most handsome man that I had ever beheld. That’s why I recalled the movie’s title.
Anyway, his testimony truly moved me. He shares most of it, in the following 3 videos, except for a few details, that stood out in my mind:
He stated that when he was asked if he felt as though he was serving God as he should, that he too asked the same of himself. Was the life that he was living, that of God’s servant? He recognized that he WAS God’s temple and that he wanted to respect Him above all things, but in turn, he wanted to respect himself and women.
How would he want the women in his life, whom he loved, to be treated? He thought of his mom and his 3 sisters. He decided, because of the value that they held in his heart, that he too, wanted to treasure all women; so he decided that the next woman that he would kiss, would in fact be, his wife.
I knew that God had great things in store for him!
I truly enjoyed both of his films, especially “Little Boy”! I think that you too, will appreciate them, for they each have their own inspirational message to convey.
