The love that a parent has for their children, is always more than what meets the eye!
Sometimes, as children, we don’t quite grasp the love that our parents have for us. Their rules might seem strict and unfair. Perhaps they may not say words that we long to hear, or commit the acts that we want to feel; but when we look back, once we ourselves are adults, we can appreciate the moments when their actions, spoke longer than words.
God, just like our Earthly parents, loves us, unconditionally. He longs to have a relationship with us. One where we abound with Him, in our present life, so that we may live together, for all eternity! God’s love for us is found in His Word. It’s found in His death. In His resurrection. It’s found in all things lovely, if we would only take the time to see His handiwork.
John 3:16 (KJV)
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Romans 5:8 (KJV)
8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
1 John 4:9 (KJV)
9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
1 John 4:19 (KJV)
19 We love him, because he first loved us.
