It is uncommon to see our brethren minister, in China!

Truly, every time that I read about or watch a video of our persecuted brethren, it moves me to tears, for many reasons. We are so blessed to live in America, for we do not yet fear, being hunted down, on a daily basis, for serving the one true God; yet unfortunately, it is not the case in the majority of the world.

Persecuted Christians abroad have to go into hiding to hear the Word of God, preached—when a lot of “Christians” here in America, cannot even commit to one service a week. They have to hide their Bibles as they gather for fellowship—when we have more than we can count, as they gather dust on our armoires. They have to whisper God’s goodness, so that their conversations cannot be heard by the authorities; while we shun from even mentioning God’s name in public—not because we would be found of committing a crime, but because we want to be politically correct.

They endure, because they truly value God’s love and wish to share the Gospel. Would we do the same, if we were in their shoes? I would hope we would, but as disheartening as it is to say it, I think most of us would not; since being a Christian in America is not yet deemed a crime, yet we make every excuse to not go to church; to not witness to our neighbor; to not utter His name in time of public need.

I pray that America turns back to God, for she has held her back towards Him for far too long; yet in His grace, He still finds favor in her!

Let’s continually pray for the leaders of nations that seek the persecution of our brethren. May they come to know God’s love for all mankind, through the love that is manifest through our brothers and sisters, despite their hardships.

Matthew 5:10 (KJV)
10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Acts 16:25 (KJV)
25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.

1 Corinthians 12:26 (KJV)
26 And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

Hebrews 13:3 (KJV)
3 Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.
