Vietnam Veteran Receives A Double Organ Transplant And Credits God For The Miracle

Vietnam vet, Rick Homer, was on the verge of death, that is until a miracle occurred. Just 2 years ago, Homer was suffering from liver failure and had lost the ability to carry out any activity. He was put on a long waiting list for organ donation.

“I left it up to the Lord. You want to see a miracle, a living miracle, here it is, My body didn’t function quick enough for me to do those things,” he says.

He wasn’t himself, he couldn’t do anything. I had to do everything for him,” says wife Judy.

Attempts by his grandson and his daughter to become donors failed and his wife had become his caregiver.

“You don’t want to think about it, but we could see him going down so fast,” Judy says.

Rick was hospitalized at Baylor Medical Center in March, that’s where the miracle happened.

“The doctor came in two days later and said we have a liver and a kidney. And I said no way,” said Judy.

According to KLTV, Homer assures that he is living proof that miracles DO happen. After all, it’s not everyday that one person is allowed to have a 2 organ transplant.

Today, he is working on becoming the man he used to be., Longview, Jacksonville, Texas | ETX News
