Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

When Glad came running to him asking, “What is going to happen to me?” Bill just threw his arms around her and said, “You will always be with me.”

Bill lets us know, on the day Glad was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, he had died. He died in order to live a new life of constant care for his amazing wife. Bill says, “My life will now be lived for her needs, not for me…. Love compels me to do what i do.” The love he has for Glad has and will always be strong, I doubt he will ever grow tired of making sure she stays as his absolute priority.

Bill reached out to God and asked for His strength. After 50-years of marriage Bill has proved to his wife that he meant it when he said, “For better or for worst.” While many couples today do not uphold their vows, Bill refused to be one of them.
