District Of Saint-Denis Raids Wednesday, Nov. 18th
In the district of Saint-Denis, not far from one of the scenes Paris suffered Friday in Stade De France, reports of gunfire occurred at 4 a.m. local time on Wednesday.
It is believed that it continued for several hours as police raided the apartment where multiple suspects connected to the attacks may be hiding. Reinforcements were summoned and several people were injured in the process reports the AP.
François Molins, The Prosecutor of the Republic of Paris, said in a statement that a woman died Wednesday morning when she detonated a suicide belt just after 4:20 a.m. (Paris time) during the raid inside the apartment she was in. Soon after, three men were arrested and removed from the scene. He wrote,”Their identities are not established at this stage.”

Molins also added that one man and one woman were too arrested in the vicinity of the apartment. However, this second set of arrests is not yet confirmed by the prosecutor despite reports of a second deceased person. Police had raided the area because it is believed that the suspected mastermind of Friday’s multiple attacks, 27-year-old Belgian Abdelhamid Abaaoud, could be there. It is reported that his current status is unknown.
