It was never the intention of Amanda Anderson to have had to give birth in her living room, but because of the raging Winter Storm Jonas, she delivered her baby girl on Friday midst the storm.

Anderson had visited two hospitals the day before on Thursday, but they evaluated her as “not ready” and was sent home. The parents recall being really nervous about being sent home, with the Jonas storm bearing down on their North Carolina home.

The expecting couple alerted 911 early Friday morning when Anderson started getting contractions. Things picked up pace, because when the paramedics got to their home, the baby would not wait any longer and needed to be born right there and then! Anderson gave birth to her baby daughter right there in her living room with the help of the paramedics. Baby Annabelle arrived weighing in at 6lbs, 2oz.

Indeed God was with them throughout the storm, and he has blessed this family with a beautiful baby!
